How yoga can support your Manifestations

Making all of your dreams come true through manifestation can sound cliché, scary, or even completely out of your reality. Maybe you even feel that it is something that everybody else can do, but you don't. Still, after this post, I am sure you will start seeing manifestation with other eyes.

We will discuss manifestation, the steps to take before manifesting, and, of course, how Yoga can support us on this journey. Let's dive in!

FIRST OF ALL: WHAT IS MANIFESTATION?

Manifestation is preparing your mind, body, and soul to see the scenario and feel the feelings you want when you achieve the things you want in life. Having the experience in your mind will ignite the fire of inspiration that will support you in taking small steps, little actions that will guide you toward where you want to go.

When you create a daily practice of manifestation, you start removing all the obstacles of doubt, resistance, caution, overwhelm, imposter syndrome, and fear. You stop focusing on problems, remove all the things holding you back, and start training your mind, nervous system, and soul to get the things you want.

WISHING X MANIFESTING

Sometimes, we can fall into the trap of wishing for things and thinking that we are manifesting them. For example, many people have a big goal of having the ability to go wherever they want, to buy whatever they want, and basically to have enough money so they don't have to worry about money anymore.

We all deserve financial freedom, and we can do the work to achieve it in our lives, but for whatever we want to manifest, we need to learn how to separate wishing from actual manifesting.

When we only desire something, we feel powerless, as if we were waiting for someone/something to come and save/rescue us from the problems we are facing in our life right now. This feeling does not give us any empowerment or excitement to develop a plan to support us in going for our dreams. If you are just desiring, all you will get is to put yourself in a deep state of scarcity:

"I wish I could go on a 20-day trip" makes you feel trapped, "I wish I could meet someone" makes you feel lonelier, and "I wish I could be more fit" makes you feel out of shape.

On the other hand, when we manifest, we increase our power to do the work to get these things and change our lives. So when manifesting, declare what you want, get very specific, and the rest is all about action + empowering yourself to go and achieve it. And even though you might not know the exact steps to take to get there, you must TRULY believe it is possible.

So, instead of wishing, decide:

- "I deserve to have a career where I can go on longer trips."

- "I'm going to make more money come into my life."

- "I am committed to being in a loving relationship."

And remember:

Where the attention goes, the energy flows.

What You Might Be Doing "Wrong"

Earlier in this post, I mentioned that you must genuinely believe that you can achieve whatever reality that you want to live, and one of the most significant obstacles we can face in this step is our own doubts, excuses, fears, and stories - and this can include limiting beliefs. In case you are not familiar with this term, limiting beliefs almost cut off your ability to be confident that your possibilities in life are infinite and that you can achieve whatever you want.

For example:

- You want to manifest a life where you can say no, unapologetically, to people, but you have a limiting belief that when you say no, people leave, get mad, or do not want to be around you. So you get scared that you will end your life alone, and then you can NEVER say no.

or

-You want to manifest a life where you have a very comfortable house with everything you need to feel safe in it, but you have a limiting belief that if you have a comfortable home and some other people don't, you are a bad person, a snob, and do not care about the others, and then you can NEVER have the comfortable house of your dreams.

We usually start building our limiting beliefs in childhood, and they can be stored so deep in our core system that it can be hard to identify some of them, but it is not impossible. The key in this process is to start paying attention to what emotions and feelings arise when you think about your dream life, and the following steps will support you in that:

1. Notice if you feel any fear, doubt, or even that you do not deserve to live the reality you want, bring it all to your awareness.

2. Free journal about the feeling, trying to question yourself when you felt that way for the first time.

3. With lots of love and compassion, start to shift your perception of worthiness intentionally.

4. When you feel ready, return to the goal you wanted to achieve and do it again, but this time from a new mindset.

Making those a habit while manifesting will change your practice in significant ways.

AND FINALLY, HOW CAN YOGA SUPPORT US IN MANIFESTING THE LIFE OF OUR DREAMS?

That Yoga supports us in raising our levels of consciousness and to start seeing life with other eyes we already know, but when discussing manifestation, this ancient sacred practice can play a significant role in the final picture.

Through yoga we can:

- learn how to tune inwards through the power of breath

- start to hear our bodies & deepest desires

- begin to notice & name feelings

- dissolve stuck energies in the mind, body & soul

- remember to be grateful for all that we are and have right now

I have to say that probably one single class will not be enough to connect you with all the benefits that the whole practice offers, but you have to start somewhere. If you feel inclined to try your first yoga class, you can check my YouTube channel here and access some yummy flows, or if you feel like diving deep and having me support you personally on your journey, book your 1:1 session here now.

WANT TO START MANIFESTING BUT DO NOT KNOW HOW?

Here are some simple exercises that you can start doing right now to start building confidence in the practice of manifestation and to build the life of your dreams:

1. Envision easy & convenient parking spots: I started my manifestation practices with this exercise that I learned - if I am not wrong - in the "The Secret" documentary, and that's how it goes. I would start by thinking that I could find accessible parking spots no matter where I went. I would begin to visualize a great space to park even before I'd hop into my car, and while driving, I'd keep connecting with the feeling of "it is easy for me to find a close and convenient parking spot," and yes, it always worked. Well, now I suggest you go out there, try it for yourself, and just come later to tell me the results - and be happy because you will forever find great parking spots everywhere!

2. Be grateful for your life now: seeing the good in your life will bring your energies up enough to manifest from a place of contentment and not scarcity. If your life is pretty tough right now, think of five years ago. Hopefully, you will see clear improvements and growth in certain areas and focus on that. Remember, life will only get better, even if it is not exactly how you want it to be right now.

3. Create a vision board: take some time to collect or print images that resonate with what you want to create in your life. Glue it down into a big (or small) piece of paper, write your feelings and wishes down, and place it where you can easily see it as soon as you wake up and right before bed. Mine is in my room, and every time I look at it, all the feelings of living my dream life just sparkle in my whole body, giving me the energy to go for the day or to sleep in peace, knowing that my dream life is already happening, little by little.
