I was born in Brazil and moved to the US in 2017 with a craving for deeper connection and a sense of wholeness that I wasn’t quite finding in my life at the time. When yoga came into my life, just before my move, it became the turning point I didn’t know I was searching for. What started as a simple curiosity, after sobbing in my first savasana, quickly became a way of living my life. A lifestyle that helped me reconnect with myself in ways I never imagined possible!
In 2020, I decided that it was time to uncover all that was underneath the 60-minute yoga classes I used to take at my home studio in Seattle, and did my first 200hr. Since then, I’ve completed over 600 hours of training and have been refining my offerings toward self-discovery and integration through vinyasa and restorative yoga. I’ve also been diving deeper into trauma-informed yoga, somatic work, nervous system balance, and polyvagal theory, which together shape how I guide my students to understand and integrate all parts of themselves.
My passion for self-discovery inspires me to create spaces where you can show up exactly as you are—without feeling like you need to be any certain way to belong. To me, yoga and self-discovery aren’t about fixing or even necessarily changing, but about being present with what’s there, giving yourself permission to explore all its nuances, and finding ways to grow through it—not despite it.
When I'm not teaching, you’ll find me on my podcast, Yoga & Integration, sharing stories, and tools for self-discovery in a way that feels like sitting down with a friend who’s learning right alongside you.
Outside of yoga, I love dancing in my living room, being in nature with my loved ones (especially if it’s somewhere sunny by the ocean), and eating pizza (Neapolitan style is my favorite!). I’m also always up for traveling, getting creative, or organizing pretty much anything. haha.
But what really lights me up is waking up every day to share what I love with so many special people. Holding space for others as they explore this work in their own way has become one of the most meaningful parts of my life.
Here’s what a few of them have shared about our experience together:
“When I started looking for yoga classes in Seattle, it was a bit challenging to find one that resonated with me. Everywhere I practiced, there was a common thread of treating yoga as just a gym workout, with a significant lack of intention and mental exploration. Then I started taking classes with Fernanda, and I was delighted because the way she leads the class is always purposeful and intentional. Of course, there’s still a physical aspect, but never without a reflection that prepares you to live yoga off the mat as well. Fernanda is excellent at making me feel confident, calm, and she also helps me avoid comparing myself to people who have been practicing for a long time.”
“I am very grateful for the uniqueness of each of Fernanda’s yoga classes, which are enriched with a sense of community and camaraderie. Fernanda is genuinely caring and offers very personal support and encouragement, whether you are a beginner or have been practicing yoga for some time. Each class is carefully crafted with clear and thoughtful intentions, showing how spirited and passionate she is about what she does. I am always inspired by her reflections and personal stories, which create a safe space for us to embrace vulnerability and feel empowered by it.”
“I have been attending Fernanda’s class for about a year and a half. I had fallen out of moving my body due to injuries and quick weight gain during a stressful period in my life. I had always liked yoga, but was never a regular, until I found her class. I started going to target the physical and what kept me going is what it did for my nervous system. The way Fernanda mixes setting intentions with movement really brought calm to my body, which eventually translated to my body healing inside and out. Attending once a week also returned a big love of mine, running. After the injury I couldn’t do it and attending her class I am finally coming back to it. I am beyond grateful for the dedication she brings to every class.”
